Primary-Secondary Color Day
March 3, 2011
March is Youth Art Month in our schools. To celebrate, kindergarten, first and second grade students dress in the primary colors (red, yellow, and blue) and third, fourth and fifth grade students dress in the secondary colors (orange, purple and green). One hundred participation by a class wins them a "free choice" day in art.
Students also particpate in a school-wide contest to win more planning time for their teacher by dressing and accessorizing their teacher. Our first place winners are Ms. Ciarrocchi (primary colors) and a tie between Mrs. Velasquez and Mrs. Washington (secondary colors). Honorable mention to Ms. Monck who dressed herself without student help! Please enjoy our stylish teacher photos!
